Who will be on board the Energy Union Tour?
Coldcut (Ninja Tune, London) present their iconoclastic AV film 'Energy Union'.
The pioneering band Coldcut have produced an audiovisual mix film about "Intelligent Energy". You can expect innovative VJ+DJ techniques in the inimitable Coldcut 'Journeys by DJ' style, blending pop music with colourful visuals, to get the vital message across. The mix, created especially for Energy Union, demonstrates ones again how Coldcut ('the Kraftwerk of the 21st century' -iD Mag) break boundaries.
Once again, the Ninja Daddies take it to the next level on their unique 20 year trip to combine art, music, and activism. Whether you dance or watch the screen, it doesn't matter. Hate it or love it, you will be challenged - can you stay unmoved? It's Time....
GRIDIO: an interactive system that lets you 'play' audiovisual compositions - its the ultimate techno toy
Pressure-sensors on the grid-patterned floor detect movements of people within the installation and this triggers audiovisual clips. Video from the clips is mixed on big screens and sound through a loudspeaker system. GRIDIO is a giant human audiovisual sequencer built by Brightonart for Energy Union, that lets you remix parts of the Coldcut Energy Union live show along with a bank of specially-produced media clips.

Friends of the Earth (FoEE)
Panel discussions add the political dimension to the tour, explaining and discussing the concept of Intelligent Energy. The forums are prepared by the local groups of the Friends of the Earth Europe network in each country.

4YourEye (Vienna)
This year, a must-see new feature is added to the events: Coldcut's Matt Black and Vienna VJ crew 4YourEye will do a joint visual session, a unique live cinema remix of elements from the Energy Union film blended with new materials and state of the art VJ sources, soundtracked by very special guest DJs and electronic artists.
